Applications due April 30

Lord of Life is excited to again offer a $1,500 college scholarship. This non-renewable award has been created by church members who, through gifts and memorials, have endowed a scholarship fund that will award one scholarship each year.

The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior who is a member of Lord of Life, displays exemplary service to the church and community, who will be attending a technical college or pursuing a four-year college degree on a full-time basis, and provides an essay on their faith journey in the application.

Complete details about the scholarship as well as the application are now available and can be picked up in the church office. Completed applications must be turned in to the church office in person or by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by April 30 for consideration. The scholarship will be awarded during the graduation recognition worship service on Mother’s Day, May 11. Join us as we transform Lord of Life into the Northern Wilderness this year for Vacation Bible School week! 

We invite ALL to experience this wonderful week by bringing kids, grandkids, neighbors, and friends and/or serving in some capacity. We will learn how to trust Jesus in this wild world. You can expect a week full of faith discoveries, memorable music, and epic adventures that help you grow in friendship with Jesus.

Who can attend? Any child 4 years old through 4th grade by Sept. 30, 2025.
How about 5th or 6th graders? We will have a LIT (leader in training) event during the same time. They will learn how to make the leap from participant to student leader.

Register to attend. There is a $25/per family cost due at the time of registering. If this cost is prohibitive, please contact Angie for financial assistance.

Study Topic: Finding I Am

This fall, we are watching videos and having discussions on "Finding I am" by Lysa TerKeurst. We will explore the I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Each study can stand alone, so join when you can. No book to purchase.

Study topic: Honor Others with Love

All women are welcome – feel free to invite your friends, coworkers, or neighbors.

Topics vary but this fall we are digging into "Honor Others with Love" by Workmatters. Discover greater meaning in our daily lives no matter your vocation or stage in life while growing in community. This study is stand alone each meeting, so there is no homework or compounding study.

The WIM group is inspired by Women in the Marketplace, a Christian ministry designed to equip working women to confidently pursue their faith and career for the glory of God. Interested but can't make it on Tuesdays? Women in the Marketplace has a variety of other events and resources.

We encourage children in worship, but if pre-kindergarten children need time away from the crowd, our nursery is staffed on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 am education and worship hour and during 11 am worship if needed. Little ones are welcome to join the nursery at any time. Many opt to stay in worship through the Children’s Message. Nursery staff will bring them up for the Holy Communion moment.

Our younger kids begin in the Sanctuary for worship. After the Children's Message, they move to the Fellowship Hall to participate in activities and crafts that help them learn about the Bible and Christian faith. They return to worship to join their families for Holy Communion.

Students in grades 6th through 8th grade explore what it means to affirm their baptism in the Christian faith. They meet in the New Space during at 9:30 am during the Sunday School hour each week with days off for time spent in worship or other special days, including retreats, church visits, and service projects.

Senior high students discuss how their faith journey intersects issues they are facing in their daily lives. They meet in the Lighthouse at 9:30 am on Sunday morning during the Faith Learning hour with days off for time spent in worship or other special days.

Our adult Sunday School meets in the Church Library. Led by Pastor Ed Williams, they choose a book of the Bible to study If you're looking for other adult learning options, check out our Bible studies; there's something for everyone!

Meets 1^st and 3^rd Tuesday of the month, 6:30 pm in the New Space

Traveling through life with a partner? The Couples Bible Study is an opportunity to grow together in faith alongside other couples. This informal group covers a variety of study topics over the course of the educational year. Grab your better half and settle in for some meaningful, Christ-centered learning, laughing, and talking.
